Our story
The story of our company began in 2001, when the Civitas Foundation and a few enthusiastic and talented young people decided to carry out a long-term project in the context of the new era that was to begin with our country’s accession to the EU. In the early years, we focused on helping small and medium-sized companies to adapt to EU standards for obtaining EU grants. To make our clients’ activities more efficient, we expanded our range of services: we initiated to obtain EU grants for financing projects, investment consultancy and launched human resources development programs for local and foreign investors.
We helped our clients’ first major investments between 2003 and 2004, we offered services mainly for small and medium-sized enterprises. By 2006, our company was working with local and regional companies, municipalities and NGOs, and had secured over €10 million in funding. And we doubled this figure in just one year, with the professional help of our partners from Hungary.
Thus, our company has become one of the leading grants (and financing) consultancies in Romania. In the first seven years, 96% of our offers were accepted and implemented.
Since 2006, we have been involved in bid evaluations as independent evaluators, peer reviews and helping small businesses obtain development funds.
Our story reached a new chapter in September 2008, when we were acquired by PNO Grant Consulting, Europe’s leading independent grant consultancy. Combining the results of PNO Romania and RegioConsult, by the end of the year we boasted a portfolio of over 100 funded projects.
Our company reached its current form after 2011, when the management of RegioConsult made an MBO (remaining part of the international network). Under the new legal form of our partner PNO – Regional Consulting and Management, we have continued to provide our clients with professional and quality services, which you can also benefit from!
We also offered services for Romanian Government institutions in project evaluation, and we also were part of independent evaluation of EU and other government granted projects.
We are proud that in the last years we led the reconstruction and rehabilitation of many historical monuments in Transylvania, and we left our mark in the regional development.
With almost 20 years of experience, a portfolio of more than 500 million euros and a serious, competent, and talented team, our company now provides a wide range of project management services, helping our partners to grow and attract investment through financing.
